Holly is the author of the GenEx Saga, which includes Tempus, Expertus, and Veritas the final book in the series that will be released in September. Holly was born and raised in Dahlonega, Georgia. When she isn’t dreaming up new plotlines for her next book she enjoys spending time with her husband and two adorable daughters. ![]() Tempus won a spot on the 2015-2016 Tome It List and is a must have book for your collection. This book is character driven with plot-twists around every corner. Chapel Ryan isn't crazy. At least, that's what she's been trying to convince herself of for most of her life. But after being hallucination-free for three years, Chapel finds herself facedown on her English classroom’s gritty linoleum floor. When she looks up, everyone around her is suspended in animation. Mouths hang open mid-yawn, feet hover mid-cross, Ms. Freeman’s arm flexes mid-sentence diagram. It's another hallucination. Or, is it? Chapel prepares to tear herself back to reality when something happens. Something that has never happened before in any of her hallucinations--someone moves. And not just any someone—it’s the new guy with a scar over his lip and a reputation as black as his perfectly styled hair. And all of the sudden Chapel's white-knuckle grip on her life has slipped, and with it, her assurance that what she's experiencing isn't real.

The excitement of finally getting that sequel you've been dying to read or the almost ADHD level of distraction because all the pretty new book covers. "I want this one and that one. Oh! And to be fair I HAVE to get this one." I love it when I find multiple books I want to read and to be honest, bookstores are often times a lot like Walmart. You go in with the intention of buying one specific thing...and you walk out with your groceries for the next month, a new toy for your child, and that new eye liner you've been meaning to try. To my fiancé's slight displeasure, every trip to the bookstore is like a Walmart trip for me. He tells me its one of my endearing qualities :) Barnes and Noble is one of my favorite places to shop and the reason why is because of their awesome themed tables. I get hooked on their promises of 20 Books to get Obsessed with this Summer, From Book to Screen, or 15 Places We'd Never Want to Visit. The Tome Society is now proud to announce that the It List for 2015-2016 can be found at the Mall of Georgia Barnes and Noble! So when you start wandering through the aisles searching for that perfect book for your summer vacation go check out the Tome It List table! This year we have chosen 25 young adult novels that will knock your flip flops off. Some of my personal favorites are Winner's Curse, Snow Like Ashes, Red Queen, and Rule of 3. So what are you waiting for?? Go check them out and don't forget our mobile friendly website if you want to double check what the Tome It List has to offer! Until next time fellow book lovers! -Ashley |
